What are the Program hours?

Salamander and Grey Fox DAY classes and camps: 9 am pick up and 3:30 pm return, unless otherwise specified. 

Overnight camps: times are listed on the courses and vary by course, but generally, the leave time is in the morning, and return in the afternoon. 

Adult/family/private classes vary depending on the class.

What are the ages for your programs? 

Salamanders: 6-11/12 

Grey Foxes: 11/12-14

Coming soon: High School programs 14-17

Adult programs: 18 and up (16 with permission of instructor and parent or with a parent)

Private programs are dependent on the program.

Why does the Salamander and Grey Fox program have an overlap between ages?

We offer this for a few different reasons. Not all students of a specific numerical age are ready for the next age level of activities. Eleven and twelve-year-old students are still making transitions between childhood and pre-teen and different folks develop socially at different rates. It’s not bad to connect children along a continuum of ages, this can be quite positive. Some want to help younger students and others may be role models in how they use skills or behave with wildlife. These transition students are often those we have mentored for years and can role model skills and safety as well as provide leadership.
